In 1986, I joined a band with drummer Roger Murdock,

featuring bassist

Laura McDonald

(ex-wife of Ian McDonald from King Crimson & Foreigner)

She was going with Billy Squier at the time and he was producing the band.

I used this guitar for several years in the band. It was never actually marketed.

Sorry, I have no photos of the actual guitar that I can locate...

it looked just like this only in Metallic Black

I almost forgot about this one...

For a brief period of time, I also owned

a Peavey Firenza in Metallic Black with

2 Zebra Humbuckers and Tremolo Arm.

It was given to me along with 2 Peavey 5150 stacks

during our visit to the Peavey factory in Meridian, Mississippi

while on tour with The John Entwistle Band.

Last, but not least of the miscellaneous guitars is this

Fernandes ZO-3 in Pink. Don't laugh...I bought this guitar for my daughter when she was 8 years old because she used to drag my Ovation acoustic around the house trying to play it.

It has a built-in speaker and is powered by a 9 volt battery.

I tried to encourage my daughter to play by telling her this was the same guitar that 'Barbie' played.

Not mine, but...check this out...

Fernandes pays homage to Jimmy Page with this doubleneck model.

It's called the "Fernandes Two Heaven". Notice the dragon designs  (like Page wore on his clothing) and the "Zoso" type rune on the speaker.

Also part of their Art Rock series is this Fernandes tribute

to Eric Clapton's psychedelic SG from the Cream era.

It's called the "Sunshine Love" and there is a bass version.

Check out these

guitar strings!

I bought them in

Manny's  on 48th Street

I saved the packaging.

Super Ultra Light Gauge...

I think they were .008s!

Designed for

Eric Clapton

and also

Recommended by

Eric Clapton.

(I wonder if he

EVER used them.)

Picture taken from

the same photo session ?

I think so...
