Subject:RETRACTMENT OF PREVIOUS POSTING
I POSTED SOMETHING THE OTHER DAY.I WAS TO HASTY IN MY EVAULATIONS OF GODFREY. SOMETIMES PEOPLE HAVE THOUGHTS IN THEIR MIND AND DONT EXPLAIN THEM PROPERLY,LIKE I DID. FOR THE RECORD, I THNK GODFREY IS AN OUTSTANDING GUITARIST.HIS CLAPTON RIFFS AND STYLE ARE EXCELLIENT. THATS NOT TO MENTION ALL THE OTHER TYPES OF MUSIC HE DOES SO BRILLIENTLY. HE IS A MUST SEE WHEN EVER HE PLAYS. THE SOLO HE PLAYED IN SUNSHINE WITH JACK BRUCE WAS INDEED AS GOOD AS CLAPTON EVER COULD DO. AND THE SIGN-CLAPTON IS GOD-FREY--IS PRETTY COOL AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED. GODFREY IS ONE OF THE MANY FEW WHO CAN ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. TO ALL THE UPCOMMING GUITARITS--WATCHING AND LEARNING FROM GODFREY,WILL ONLY MAKE YOU A BETTER GUITARIST-GUARANTEED. I HOPE HIM AND I , ONE DAY MEET. I KNOW MUSICALLY WE HAVE MUCH IN COMMON. --MESSAGE TO GODFREY FROM JOE T--""I HAVE A RECORDING OF CREAM-1967-AT THE VILLAGE THEATRE--BEFORE IT BECAME THE FILLMORE EAST--I WAS THERE WITH A SONY 2"REEL TO REEL AND TAPEED IT--CAME OUT GREAT. IVE SEEN CREAM A FEW TIMES IN THE OLD DAYS--I HAVE NEVER SINCE THAT DAY-HEARD HIM PLAY AS HE DID THAT NIGHT--

Hi Godfrey, I was surfing around for old friends, and came across your website! It's been a long time!!!! I'm living in St.Louis now!! The last time I saw you was in Michigan with John Entwistle. That was a very funny evening. I drove you and John back to the hotel in my convertible! Anyway, I hope you are doing well! I saw that you are going to be in Missouri sometime in September. I would love to come and see you perform! Send me an e-mail if you get a chance. (swingline04@msn.com)--- Just for clarification..It's the stapler! Wendy

Subject:HEY YOU!!!!
GodfreyDear Boy! Sounds like all is going well with you. Missed you at Hofstra....but will catch up with you eventually. I especially enjoyed the bit about Irish Jack - it reminded me of the time I was introduced to him. Caught the Quad show at MSG yers ago and found out Simon T was playing in the village. Went to the venue early and mistook Simon's brother Paul for him and told him how great he performed only to be corrected that i was talking to Paul not Simon. (Apart, they kinda DO look alike! Paul very friendly - we chatted and then Simon arrived by cab. I went necxt door for a coupla & then went back to chat with Simon. John E was having a show of his artwork in SOHO, so we went to see what was up. Somehow, afterwards we wound up in a cab - talking and I turned to the 'old' gent sitting next to Simon and said kinda quietly ' Who's the old geezer?' Si informed me that he was 'the world's oldest Who fan'. I said that there is one older than me? and we were introduced. Very friendly! Had a good time. I hung around .. took in the show (Bitter End?). wound up hanging with Jack, Jodi Linscot (yum yum), Zak and others great time. Played roady afterwards, hailed a cab, and lost track of the group (which I was invited to join) in the theatre district for snacks and booze. But anyhow, I digress. Hope your son is still perfecting the bass - he was excellent last time I saw him in Queens. Stay in touch, stay healthy, and keep in touch ! Cheers!!!
