Godfrey Townsend has appeared frequently at BB King's Blues Club in New York City's Times Square, both with major artists and with his own band.He has appeared there and performed to sold-out crowds with his annual birthday tribute to Eric Clapton for the past 15 years.

After hearing Godfrey jamming on some Cream tunes in a club one night, Eric Clapton's guitar tech, Lee Dickson commented to John Entwistle... "This guy's got Clapton down better than Clapton!" |
Since 2001, Godfrey Townsend…has also been guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist and
musical director for A Walk Down Abbey Road", a tribute to The Beatles.
Three separate line ups of artists toured the U.S., Canada & Japan.
